Nestled within the vibrant Tropika Bukit Jalil, 鸡煲之家 Chicken Claypot House presents a harmonious blend of Malaysian flavors with a subtle nod to Chinese culinary traditions. This restaurant thrives on its specialty—claypot dishes—offering an authentic and comforting dining experience that appeals both to locals and food adventurers alike.

The menu highlights exemplify the brand’s dedication to quality and flavor. From the fiery and aromatic Spicy Tiger Prawn Claypot to the richly layered Spicy Broiler Chicken Claypot, each dish is crafted to balance bold spices with tender, fresh ingredients. The mala-infused broths, known for their tongue-tingling heat and fragrant depth, perfectly complement the succulent prawns and chicken, making these signature pots a must-try.

Beyond claypots, the restaurant shines with its noodle selections. The Fried Fish Head Noodles garner particular praise, featuring tender, bite-sized fish pieces and crispy bean curd enveloped in a savory broth, which diners can customize with an original or creamy base. The inclusion of snacks like fried cheese tofu and crispy fried potato offers a satisfying variety, ideal for sharing or as starters.

鸡煲之家 appeals to those who appreciate authentic, hearty Malaysian dishes with intricate spice profiles, alongside a no-frills, relaxed atmosphere. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chicken Claypot House during their weekday specials from 12 pm to 5 pm, it was a delightful experience! The weekdays special menu has three noodle options. From pork noodles to fish head noodles and seafood noodles with crab, certainly something for every palate. But my standout favorite? The “Fried Fish Head Noodles” comes in tender, bite-sized pieces of fried fish, crispy bean curd, and some yam pieces in a rich, flavorful soup base. You get to choose between the original or creamy base – both equally satisfying. With your noodle set, you'll receive a free herbal drink – a refreshing bonus and a lucky draw for a side dish! Yes, the prices range from RM15.90 to RM24.90, which might seem a tad higher than your average hawker food. But here's the deal: you're paying for quality. The portion sizes are generous. Plus, the comfortable air-conditioned environment and cleanliness elevate the dining experience. **Verdict: Worth every Ringgit!** In summary, if you're craving noodles that dance on your taste buds, head over and treat yourself to a belly full of goodness, and don't forget to try those Fried Fish Head Noodles.

I came with family for dinner on Sunday. By 6.45pm, the restaurant was already full. The tomato soup quite tasty. The special taste chicken claypot has small cut chicken and they got hard and chewy because I left the meat too long inside the claypot.

Had their best seller chicken hotpot. It was slightly salty, maybe because the gravy is on the thicker side. Not soupy. Overall it was nice, just had to keep asking for additional soup. If taken just like that with rice it’s yummy. Ambience is ok, staff was friendly and helpful.

The food is well prepared and the single portion dishes are large enough for sharing. They serve hotpot as well. The ambience is clean and bright.
